Okere Shea Cooperative is committed to the restoration, regeneration, conservation and long-term protection of the Nilotica shea landscape. Working with local communities, we promote Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR), shea seedling establishment, agroforestry, sustainable harvesting, fire management and protection of naturally occurring shea trees. By combining community stewardship with regenerative agriculture and economic incentives from the shea value chain, we aim to restore degraded landscapes, increase tree populations, improve biodiversity and ensure that Nilotica shea remains a valuable resource for generations to come.
